I also got error -6 until I re-installed CIOS Rev 9.

I think I may have had an old version of CIOS before, now it works fine!

Firstly, sorry for being a complete newb.
Ever since installing the YAOSM about a year back, i haven't tinkered with the Wii.

Anyway, im really excited about the USB loader, so i thought i would install it.
I have spent the last couple of hours reading up and getting all the relevant files together ready, but i stumbled across a comment about the CIOS that has me confused.

My Wii currently has the Menu System 3.1e, with no HBC etc (just the YOASM installed)

My plan of action is:

(i) Install the HBC using the DVD (Does it need updating from 0.8->1.01?)
(ii) Install CIOS Rev.9
(iiI) Using Waninkoko's updater to update the System Menu to 4.0
(iv) Install the 'IOS60 and IOS61 and Shop Channel'tool to re-enable Trucha in IOS 60 plus new Shop Channel (Is this neccessary if i use Method #2 when upgrading to 4.0?)
(iV) Boot USB loader through the HBC

The question is referring to CIOS install. I read along my travels that i need to have rev.7/8 pre-installed before
i have install rev.9, is this the case ?!

Kind Regards and thanks in advance

Exclamation USB Games

After the games have been loaded to the usb drive, is it possible to share those games with others. As I still need to have the disc initially which means burning tons to save them all.

Any ideas.....

Is it possible to share backed up games on USB with others, so that we don't have to burn the games on the disc and waste them?

Default 4.0 - usbloader

Before USB Loader came out, I installed the homebrew channel using the twilight hack, homebrew browser etc.

I have since upgraded to firmware 4.0, homebrew channel and everything still work.

Am I able to install USB Loader, or do I need to somehow go back to an older version of the firmware?

Sorry if this is answered elsewhere, I've done a search but couldn't find the same question.

First of all, this falls under the topic of piracy.

Second, if you are using game that you backed up yourself than you should have originals and you can use those to install.

I assume you can simply plug the USB Drive into any Wii that can launch the backup loader and it will work.

Plus if you have windows or linux, you can use use the WBFS program to install the ISO files onto the drive.

If the Homebrew channel works, you can use the USB loader since you can launch it from the Homebrew Channel.

I myself have System Menu v4.0U installed and the USB Loader works fine.

When i try to install a game, it just shows

[+] Installing game, please wait...

PARTY PACK for REVOLUTION
(RHAE)

Press any button to continue...

The "Press any button to continue..." shows up 5 seconds after "PARTY PACK for REVOLUTION (RHAE)" or any other game for that matter. None of the games i have tried have gotten installed...

Any help would be appreciated.
