It will be interesting to see how this chip will work. I'm unsure if the market will bear another chip with advanced features, but we will see.

I honestly don't considering something that just runs apps off a 16Mb flash an ISO emulator. The homebrew channel runs apps off my 2GB SD card which is a much bigger and easier solution. Of course many will say that having some apps on the Wii so you don't have to take you're SD card out all the time is a good thing. They are wrong considering its only 16Mb and considering you would have to have a way to get the apps on the flash.

Also using USB Gecko/homebrew browser removing the SD card is something that never has to happen.

This chip is a joke, 1 week after its released everyone will complain about ejecting issues haha.

The sad truth is that you are most likely right about that. It's about time the eject issues were properly fixed.

I'll take an Argon (or two, or three) for price of shipping if you dont want them anymore :P

To modchipcentral:
Well... are over 2 months that the ARGON SPI has a nice, stable firmware 6 wires.. so infact ARGON SPI is not "abbandoned"... we did only the mistake to try to support this modchip for many months instead change hardware, this only to protect investments of sellers...
Finally we reached target to have a firmware "stable" without oscillator, but all distributors missunderstud this or simple didn't check infectus.biz website...
ARGON SPI FW 2.5 FINAL 6 WIRES is stable and is working exactly like a wiikey2 or d2pro...

bye

That doesn't change the fact that the new chip is basically a rip off of free HB. Without the stupid worthless features its not a bad price for a chip but you can't blame people for being unsure of the quality of the software.

Well, when samples will be shipped around the world for testing we'll know how it work.
Real opinions based on experience are far better than suspects and suppositions.
I think we all should better wait and see.

well, this chip will not work.. just like their line of other previous chips. all great ideas but not functional until after the 5th update, which will likely kill the internet update somewhere in the midst of all the updates, to make everything work as spec'ed on release 6 months down the road.

Also, a newer chip with an easier install will appear to handle D3 chips before argon2 even makes it to market (or at least Argon2 D3 firmwares)

WiiClip is useless. Good way to ruin everything. I am also suprised at nintendo. epoxy D2E chips - then merge to D3 and leave it ready for the iron? whoever in security got their head all frigged up...

A 'breakthrough' for wii mods would be to leave the DVD drive alone and release a flash patcher to directly mod the wii's internal firmware, using infectus or homebrew.. Drive mods (should be) a thing of the past with wii, seriously...

Or they just couldn't find it on your site. Seriously that site is a mess. A few weeks ago I tried to find the Argon firmware. After about an hour I just gave up.
