It sounds like Bushing and Marcan put quite a bit of effort into those SaveMii devices. I don't think they would have done all that had they known about this.

as of yet has ANYONE actually fixed a bricked wii with this?

Yes, we can confirm that it pulls up the system info in the bottom corner. But who is sure that means you have the same functions as savemii.

Lets see a video of the broken wii, then access it this way and fix it. Until then, I wonder if this is doing something LIKE savemii, but wont actually do it all.

I just bought a bricked motherboard of a guy today for like 20 bucks and tried this on it. Worked flawlessly and I finally had some use to an Single Layer SMBB rip I burnt with autoboot flag set (SMBB won't run with it's disc modified that way)

l_oliveira can you try to create an autoboot disk that it starts HBC and from there run one of Waninkokos downgrade tools....May this repair the bricked wii. Of course do that if this Wii mobo you bought is already bricked.

Sorry for not trying this but i have one and only Wii.

The only prob is that Waninkokos downgrade tools, i think, they need wireless connection to download some files. But wii in this service mode....i don't know maybe it doesn't initialize the wireless.

After that a clever guy out there will create a tool to back up our working WiiOS files and generate a autoboot disk that writes those files back to flash. Of course i just say things and things that i don't even know how hard is to make them.

To those of you having problems with auto-booting....

I was using "Wii Autoboot Creator English" to flag my discs as autoboot and this was not working.

This morning I tried "Wii_BootMe" - Wii BootMe - WiiBrew & it works. Try this before giving up on your mod chip.

Savemiifrii is working quite well for me now, it's nice to have more bootpaths .
