are you shitting me? they didn't have D2E support until today?? and its only for the 250 chips?? give it up infectus. Your chips suck, your support sucks, and your marketing scheme makes no damn sense. You added an extra damn wire over all competitors?! Guess everyone who was using 2.1 on their D2C2 has to disassemble and add that extra wire in now. Yay!!
D2Pro & wasabi had this under wraps months ago for their 125 chips, using only 9 wires - why can't infectus get it straight yet? Least when they do updates it don't require more installation modifications...
I bet it will still be horribly buggy and unstable - reports in already that the dat file won't take unless you update to this update first then that one.. interesting to see how it preforms.
I like their july 2nd post - "Now we can concentrate all the power to improve the ARGON2 that will be here soon (about 2 weeks)". its now, middle of sept and still no sign, just a rev update that finally supports a chipset thats been out for like 3 months?? avoid this company like the plague.
... The Infectus chip is easily the best chip on the market, they can't be expected to work as fast as others due to the fact that they are working with every system. I for one would rather them work on the 360 stuff anyway. There are always idiots like you who feel like replying with moronic comments because you think it makes you look cool or smart when in reality your just an idiot who most likely heard or read that from somewhere else and thought to yourself wow that guys cool I am going to be like him.

One thing i'd like to point out to all you guys who keep digging at the infectus team is this update requires 10 wire install, this means they have there own code as all main competitors are 9 wire installs. Yes this now means we have to install 1 more wire, but 'd rather install one wire and know that the install works 100% rather than install a 9 wire mod that could have problems, and all the reviews i have seen of this new firmware point to it being quite good.

lol funny guy...best chip out on the market? that's why they releasing a new one right...I practically see barely any views for their chips or posts on their thread here on wiinewz and even on other wii scene forums...and don't talk about "oh they have their own forum", it's pretty much dead there too with maybe like a few post a day .....so this new chip they releasing should be the "holy grail" of all modchips? dude get out of team infectus's ass....you're so far up it I don't even think you can get out anymore so just stay there...yep big progress for their useless modchip on the xbox 360...what does it do exactly...practically nothing since no one is really even buying it....everybody that knows about modding their 360 pretty much just flashes it with a haxxed firmware...yep big progress on ps3 too right? apparently they haven't released anything useful for it yet...I bet they just waiting for another team to release something first then copy it like they do with everything else....

This new firmware works OK.
Installed on 4 wii's allready, to be honest.
I don't like Argon, but have alot of their chips lying here.
Suprisingly this firmware really works good.
No eject issue's, no delay's, no problems...
everything workes fine
It is very good of the team to be able to make such a firmware which works without problems without a Oscilator (Crystal)... All other chips have a oscilator.
They are doing the best they can,
There are many people who still have old argons lying somewhere.
Thanks to their support with new firmware (eventhough they aren't selling Argon anymore) they still keep on trying to help us with newer firmware and we are able to use the argons again.
I still agree team infectus's marketing and speed suck big time but hey have been making stable products. I haven't been buying them for a while now but the ones I did install including the d2c2 firmwares worked pretty stable.
In fact on the d2pro's I installed I had issues every time and had to try 3 firmwares to find the least buggy with fastest response in where all argons worked on first try and reacted imediately.
The people who still only talk about how infectus only rip of other people's work are just a bit ignorant. They have caught one minor thing and make an issue out of it like it's the worst thing in the modding scene. Only thing they used first was the wasabi flash bin and later on the d2pro flash bin. This is the least important unprotected code on the whole chip which any moron can dump for himself.
I still won't be buying the product anymore because there are so many better and cheaper alternatives now but I still stand amazed how people like to bash products with no proper arguments. It just shows lack of knowledge and/or experience
That's how I feel I really don't know about speed wise I mean I use a Wiikey myself and they where labeled "slow" but imo it hasn't bothered me at all. Besides Infectus is working on bigger and better stuff now, and the wii is going software anyway its only a matter of time until we boot games without a chip.
only a little note... infact is true that we was away from the scene since july... but belive me not for nothing
We studied very well the DATA BUS of the driver and we finished to reverse the whole firmware of D2E (firmware was our GAP in the past)... this mean only one thing... we have now informations and know how to do a LOT new things
ARGON2 if will pass all the quality tests and will arrive to the market, will introduce new cool ideas, features and software that no other modchip can be compare... but this time we will release infos and release date ONLY after all works fine and is full tested... our OLD distributors and the major website in the scene will recieve samples for an indipendence review...
I can say only one thing... if team infectus will release a new product, it will not be for sure another D2PRO like modchip
