Wii EXCLUSIVE: D2Lite Hacked Firmware

A copy of the hacked firmware for playing backups on the newly released D2Lite modchip has posted to our file section

Download the ISO HERE.

Remember where you saw it FIRST!

To order a D2Lite, check the official resellers list...
d2lite : Distributors

We have started a dedicated forum for users of the D2Lite HERE. If new firmwares become available, expect WiiNewz to be the first with the hacked versions.

Latest d2pro has been fine so far, no inching or eject issues anymore with fw2.3 or d2e d2pro chip.

I will wait a few weeks for the test results before buying this.

So is there any reason to choose this chip over the D2Pro, other than saving a couple of quid per chip?

Availability of Lattice over Actel is also another reason as there will be no long lead times.

Compatible with all chipsets with no issues.

The D2Pro9 V3 has some firmware bugs that causes spinup issues, eject issues and inching issues on some D2C / D2C2 drives and even D2E drives. The D2Lite works perfectly with them all so far.

This chip causes alot of confusion! If it really turns out to be better than D2Pro v3 according to what testers say I will definately switch to this chip.

I think it's too early to call... It really needs to be tried on a wide range of drives to see how it behaves. I'm a little skeptical that jumping to a new FPGA platform would make their job *easier*. Maybe they're trying to slow down the cloners.

No dramas yet ruddicz. Of course you can never really tell if its perfect until there are 15 modders testing it out, on multiple copies of every drive...there are too many slight differences in drives.

OMC has now joined the disto list
will be in stock in less than 2 days
