TehSkeen is hosting a Wii coding contest/competition.
Quote:
TehSkeen is running the first Nintendo Wii homebrew contest in the world. We've got sponsors and prizes lined up and are judges are ready to get to work. So if you're an amateur or professional coder and want to share you work with the masses and get something in return for your effort this is your chance. Categories for the homebrew you can enter are original applications, demos and games. No need to worry, you won't have to brand your work with our URL or any splash screens. You can just spend all of your time and attention to making the best homebrew you can!
Click the graphic for the official contest site and good luck!

How do you figure? We can already play backups. Playing the backups from ISOs wont change anything. DVDR media companies might be pissed??? Hehehe....

Must include source code?

Might lose a few potential entries with that relatively uncommon rule.

Here is the problem with an ISO loader for Wii to me. The Wii isn't even USB 2.0 which transfers 60Mbps while the Wii is USB 1.1 which transfers data at 1.5Mbps. This wouldn't be fast enough for Wii to run a game at full speed. Just look what happend on the PS2 scene with USB Extreme. Yes it allowed you to play your games on a USB drive but the games ran very Slow. Even if they made an ISO loader like the streaming method for the GameCube. The Wii is only wireless b which is 11Mbps. Someone making a softmod like GCOS would be the only thing that would work in this matter.

Why couldn't you load an ISO from an SD card?
