Wii Waninkoko to release Wii softmod?

The scene is buzzing with speculation that Waninkoko is soon to release a softmod to the community that would allow backups to run on an un-chipped Wii console. A security hole has been found, as evidenced by the following post on made on Bushing's public blog...
Quote:
Dear Nintendo,

As part of our efforts to understand how the Wii works, we believe we
have found a security issue that could allow pirated Wii games to be
played on an unmodified Wii console.

I would like to speak to an engineer about this — please have one contact me at bushing (at) gmail.com.

Sincerely,
bushing

P.S. Sorry for posting this publicly — I tried emailing you three times
and never received a response. I am trying to follow the model set forth
in RFPolicy v2.0, so your timely response
would be appreciated.
While many of you are likely salivating at the possibility of a softmod, we hope you realize that any such release would likely result in Nintendo issuing a new firmware update that would patch the security hole as well as kill of any existing Wii homebrew. Please do not support the raping of the homebrew scene to further the reputation of those who use it to boost their own ego.

If such a release is made, obviously, you will read about it here but keep in mind that you are likely breaking the law by using it and WiiNewz does not condone or support copyright theft.
