Mine must be Malfunctioning cause I can't get anywhere near 10 Metres with mine (Maybe 6 Metres Max) Thanks for the info though, I will mess around with the sensitivity setting and see if that helps...

Is this the birth of true sword games on the wii? I sure hope so, that'd couple nicely with the NEW start wars title they announced (not unleash the force)

wow, nintnedy is really nickle and diming its way into big big hardware sales. Whatever profits are being lost on software, they are certianly making up for it in hardware (if not surpassing) This should be 100% free retrofit/upgrade for peeps who already bought the standard remote. Needless to say, I am curious to see how much the control is improved. As I found Red Steel controls to be dead on, very nice.

It probably is a light issue cause I get a lot of light in the room the Wii is located in... Thanks... I'm interested to see this new add on though and the improvements that it will offer...

Are we talking about bluetooth range or sensor bar IR 'vision' range?

I think you guys might be imagining things if sunlight affects BT range :P

Being able to see the sensor bar though, I can believe that.

Personally I would rather have a shorter RF range if it could mean a longer battery life, not that the Wii battery life is bad with the low amperage bluetooth but longer would be better.

what kind of batteries do you use? I have crappy ones from Hong Kong. They charge by a USB cable which I like. I find their capacity to be adequate, but the self discharge rate is really high. They lose capacity fast just sitting there off. So your batteries are dead by the time you have company over.
I think i should try some eneloops in them, but i would rather charge by USB. Tough decision. Do I deal with having to plug these in all the time, or having to take out batteries and put into an external recharger?

They should make a 2000mAh battery with low self discharge technoloy and an induction charger stand. That would rock if possible.

meh. it's more novelty crap that'll end up sitting unused after a week, like every other wii addon. It's the games that are failing them. everyone publishing games for the wii seems to be doing it on the cheap.

batteries? what's hard about taking some batteries out and sticking them in a charger?
