heh wat ever happend to the days of teams simpley releasing firmware updates for new chipsets and not new chips??.... as its been proven the d2ckey could even be used as a d2pro. now d2pro with spi was a needed update. but hell this d2c2 update only coming out wen the d2e chipset is added but hey, no d2e support unless u spend anotha 50...... no hounor left in teams anymore....

The old ones weren't locked from erasing etc -- but we'll see what goes on.

They have an encrypted boot loader on the actel part,The updates go on top of the bootloader.
All they did was to change the key to the bootloader on the d2c2 version.
Simple stuff.

I think too the hypothesys of the capitalist conduct of D2Pro team. One of the great advantage all installers spect when purchase 100 chips is have their updates for dont trash away their stock. We trust and spect have support to maintain our stock working, is for this reason D2Prog exist. Now D2Pro team place a key to avoid good D2Pro V1 chips work with D2C2 update and turn in trash all D2Pro V1. Now when many installers have their useless D2Pro V1 and purchasing new stock of D2Pro V2 the team appears to say installer will need trash away again their D2Pro v2 stock when D2E consoles begin to arrive to their benchs, because D2Pro are talking about the new D2Pro v3 with the sticker saying this work with D2E. Why the sticker? Well because D2Pro V2 dont will work with D2E consoles. they change the chip againg.

I really want purchase D2Pro supply and now I dont know what the hell I must purchase for next 3 months.

Yes I think Team D2Pro lost their honor.
