This patches the Wii System Menu instead of the game itself to use old IOS.

How is this tool useful? Do you actually have a system menu WAD that uses IOS37?

I don't understand it all.
Does this update an iso or the wii itself?

yes i see now. i was still on the first page when using the quickreply.
but i'm still not exactly sure how this works. So first you patch an iso so it contains a modified update for the system menu, then you insert the disc and it installs the modified menu which is trucha compatible. Is that correct?
So what about the mario disc? It will contain iso37 I guess. Should that still be installed? and should you do this wadpatcher before or after that mario update?

Yes, but if you're going to go to that trouble, why not just remove the system menu from the update entirely?

This is a dangerous utility, and it hasn't been tested.

For those of you who dont get it,
just read my second reply, which describes the differences between using iospatcher +remove update, and using this tool.

either way you have some advantages and some disadvantages. if mk uses ios37, i will most likely use my tool to ensure i get the new channel.

i just released it so everyone can have the chance of chosing between updating or not updating(wadpatcher or iospatcher+wum), while not trucha-fixing their wiis in either option
