R4DS and PBR?

For some odd reason, Pokemon Battle Revolution won't work with my R4DS. Does anyone know what the exact problem is? My theory is that if it works on other flashcarts, why doesn't someone just see what the other flashcarts have to make it work and try to implement that into the R4? If anyone could shed light on this situation, I'd grealy appreciate it.

make sure you have the latest Kernel installed on the card. 1.16 is the latest version i believe. there has been afew releases lately that havent worked with the R4DS. the r4ds website download page doesnt seem to be working for last few days, but if you havent got 1.16 install pm me your email addy and ill send it over for you.

Not sure why the exact reason but not just R4 many other flashcard reports this issue, and by the way Geometric Wars Galaxies also have the DS-Wii link and works with my R4 since FW1.15.

FW1.17 was released a couple of days ago and I still didn't tested if pokemon link is now working

I can't wait to play with my own pokemon.

I'm downloading the new kernel now. Has anyone seen if this actually fixes the problem?

it deffo fixes some if not most games not booting.

Because the transmission between the Wii and the R4 isn't the same as it would be if they were both Geniune. The R4DS version of the rom would be patched the moment you first launched the game, so when it sends it's authentication messages, it is all patched messages and the Wii doesn't accept them.

Maybe the more recent download play patch fixed that issue.

well ive checked around the forums and it looks like it doesnt fix the wii problem either. do you think i should just give up and get a new flash card or just keep waiting it out?

p.s. im not buying the actual cartridge. defeats the purpose of me getting an R4 in the first place.

If you really like the game that much, spring for it. It's not that expensive and it doesn't hurt to support the developers now n then.

Can't expect a free ride all the time.

The New R4DS Kernal 1.18 is out. Not sure what it fixes though.

Hey Youngreese1, did you try PBR again with the latest R4 v1.18 firmware?

I am interested to know if it fixed the problem for you or not.
