Default DRE! why?

im having some problems running backups on my gamecube using sd media launcher and gcos, ive been trying 1.5, 1.x and libOGC Beta. i burnt a few backups (correct size iso) using tdk dvd-r minis at 1x. my current cube plays zelda windwaker and hardly ever DRE without the pot adjustment. Resident evil 4 was getting DRE on the intro but since trying it using libOGC im about 5 hours into the game now and i get a DRE at the same point every time, seems to be when it goes to a cutscene. the other backups i tried DRE within 10 mins. also if i leave a game on pause for a while and come back they DRE apart from windwaker. ive also tried efal.dol, njnjmod freeware dol, and another one (cant remember name). all a pretty similar result.

i dont want to adjust the pot if i dont have to and as windwaker is working perfect on the same dvds so i cant understand the DRE on the other backups. the only thing i can think of is windwaker is def PAL and im not sure about the other iso. any ideas before i make a few more coasters? does gcos support running nstc on pal cube? are there any newer loaders that i havent tried that have better compatability?

Default

I would of just said its a gamecube, I had one with a viper when the viper first come out, worked sort of ok for a bit, could never get past the DRE though, used to always happen eventually, tried pot tweak etc.
Gamecubes seem to be really bad with backups. My advice is get a wii
