How big SD cards are supported?

I just got me a 8gb sd card. I cant seem to use it though on my wii. Any1 got 8 gb cards working or what's the max? my digi-cam doesn't take it either... so now I got a sd card unuseable... crap hehe

Cards over 2 GB are SDHC and are supported only in SDHC compliant electronics, seems you camera and wii for sure don't know about SDHC, so you must use normal SD that tops at 2GB.

wii can't use SDHC cards, but i've used 4gb SD cards before (the max is technically 2gb, but there are 4gb cards, they just don't follow standards).

is it possible to somehow partition a sd card or somehow make it look like 2gb... dont care if the rest 6gb is left useless.?

No, SDHC use a different method to talk to the card, no chance! Buy a puny 2GB card.
