I have a few questions about the Wii Homebrew Channel.
I would like to give it a try, but there is only an .elf installer. I am a little afraid that there will be a ticket left on my Wii when I remove it or that an other system update will discover it...
Is there any way to avoid this? Like using the WAD Installer Channel?
And then, when I maybe install the Homebrew channel, can it load every WAD on a SD card? Also, bigger .wad like Super Mario Bros 3.wad or the WiiWare titles? That would be a great option, because my system memory has left me only with 23 blocks free
thee will be a ticket left unless you use the wad uninstaller to completely remove it. i dont know where to get it's wad. theres not on only an elf installer but also a intaller disc that needs a mod chip.
It cant load wads if theres no space on wii, but the homebrew channel/or any other launcher can load homebrew off the sd without the use of the wads.

Can I easily uninstall the channel?
Ofcourse, just remove it as any other ordinary savegame or channel through "data management" in the Wii settings menu.
Will this remove all traces of the channel?
No, since there are many logs and other tidbits that remain, created by the Wii software. However, none of these should cause any issues. We will address the problems if and when they come.
There is no need for a WAD uninstaller because just removing the ticket still leaves traces all over your wii. WADs of the HBC are not supported, and there will never be an official HBC Wad file.

What proces is going on? Does the HBC install the wad onto the Wii before loading/ using? Or is it something else?
I thought the HBC could load wad files from the SD card... :?

the wad is the channel [not the hbc channel] such as wiiware. youll need the wad installer to load it on wii. hbc doesnt load it, it only load homebrew .elf/.dol files
