This is amazing news. I'm sure it can, but I'll go ahead and ask: Will it be able to access content on SD as well as discs? What if I have two SD card adapters AND the Wii's SD card for 6GB (or more?) of total SD storage in addition to what I can put on disc?
It will support Front Side SD Slot up to 2 GB for right now as well as USB Keyboard Support for entering Network and other Settings in. Not really focusing much on making it support to Much in the Front since it is more so being coded as a Streaming Tool more than anything. I will take making more use of the SD into consideration though.

As of right now I have not figured out how to do anything with the USB other than keyboard support and that is only because of help from some of the great guys in #wiidev. So as of right now no a USB stick would not work. You are limited to SD Slot, Stream from Network and DVD

Keyboard support is done using the IOS interface? If so we probably wont see usb mass storage till nintendo officially adds it or a homebrew usb driver is developed.

Correct it is done via IOS interface that is why I am unable to include USB storage devices at this time. Once a way to do so is found I will be sure to update the app to support it but there is alot of code and this is not an easy task lol. it has been kicking my ass for months now.

Maybe you should leave the usb stuff and concentrate on the main project, the media channel. Someone will eventually get to usb mass storage and then it will be a snap to implement this on your program.
I don't think there's much to do for a "downgrade" other than to get the Photo Channel 1.0 somehow, remove 1.1, and install 1.0. I don't think anyone has made this possible at the time. Additionally I don't think anyone has 1.0 backed up.
The media project mentioned sounds awesome, I'd really like some more news on it on the forums once it's evolved further.
