Rip wii games on mac

i searched for about a week to see how to rip wii games on mac directly. every time i searched it was for windows and i did not want to run bootcamp. anyways, after the search i decided to try to do it with out a guide and i figured it out. by the way i searched this forum as well but didn't find any thread about it.
Steps:
Put wii game into disk drive
open up disk utility if it didn't already opened ( you will not see the game in the finder, or at least i didn't)
in disk utility click on the cd/dvd drive
then go to file new disk image from disk one (i don't remember what its called exactly , but i do know that it is the last option it gives you in that sub menu)
Save the .dmg to your desktop
then open terminal
type "cd desktop" press enter
Type "hdiutil convert filename.dmg -format UDTO -o filename.iso (change filename to what ever you filename is.)
the game iso will show up as filename.iso.cdr
just delete the .cdr part. it will ask you if you want to keep cdr or use iso, just use iso.
then download wiijunkies Here
open wii junkies
select your iso
and change the region to whatever region you are even if it is already in your region hit apply.
then burn using disk utility burning at 4x

this worked with the superdrive? how long did it take?

Yea. this was tested on a g5 and a macbook, both with superdrives. it took about 30 minutes or less to rip and 10 minutes to convert to iso. then burning was the average time.

I hope this really works and you're not just pulling my leg, I'll test it tomorrow and if you're not kidding then mac beats windows again

For me, with an Intel running 10.5.4, the disk gets spat out immediately. Presumably the finder hates having an unknown file system present. Is there some system setting I'm missing?

i didn't even know 10.5.4 was out. anyways what computer do you have. a macbook, macbook pro imac or mac pro. almost forgot mac mini

10.5.4 is a prerelease i believe, i have 10.5.3, it says "cannot image non-data (audio) CDs"

when does this error occur?
is it when you are burning?
if so what are you using to burn?

Actually, I may have goofed, I may only be on 10.5.3 (though I did think it was .4 but I'm at work so I can't check).

I'm a 1.8Ghz Intel Core Duo (one of the white ones), internal ComboDrive, external LaCie Lightscribe DVD burner.

The DVD gets spat straight out if I put it in the combodrive, and does not show up on the desktop if I put it in the external drive.

I have access to (but haven't tried) a 2.0Ghz Intel MacMini also ComboDrive, running the same OS version. No idea if it works

Which OS/hardware are *you* using successfully?

(Hell, I'd be prepared to use BootCamp if I thought it would work - I'm already doing that to use the SD Gecko - but the only Windows tools I've seen nominate specific LG DVD drives which I don't have)

I have a superdrive, at first it was accepting the disc but not mounting and the message shows up in the menu when i go to copy the disc to an image in disk utility

can you make a video? is this for original games or backups?
