Firmware Revision: DBN7
Interconnect: ATAPI
Burn Support: Yes (Apple Shipping Drive)
Cache: 2048 KB
Reads DVD: Yes

Now i have a screen shot of my disk utility with the game pro evolution soccer in so i can make a back up of it.

Hopefully this is a better picture....

That "disk image from disc3" option still doesn't come up.... And right now I currently have mario strikers in the drive.....

i did get my drive replaced a couple of months ago if that makes any difference but i am running disk utility 11.1 (252.3) on os 1.5.4
Edit i meant to say 10.5.4 not 1.5.4

This *cannot* work at all. It is bullshit, and I can tell you for sure.

The only way to rip a Wii DVD on a Mac would be using FriiDump and one of the famous LG drives. Although, this is not possible, at the moment, because of a shortcoming of MacOS X, which forbids the issuing of raw SCSI commands to some peripherals, including CD/DVD-ROM drives.

To understand the problem please refer to README.technical available in the FriiDump sources to understand how the dump of Wii disc is done, and to Technical Q&A QA1179: Sending SCSI or ATA commands to storage devices to understand why it can't be done on MacOS X.

BTW, this is all about a real design flaw in MacOS X, which has non apparent meaningful justification. Google a bit (try "plscsi mac") if you want to have some fun.

Please close this thread, it is just a hoax.
