Blit37 i would try to put it in your external drive go into disk utility and click on the disk drive. then do the creat a new disk image thing.
if that doesn't work try it in your mac mini.
sdub90 i can make bak ups of backups and on regular games. i can make a video but your are going to have to wait a while as a cant seem to find my camcorder.i can do screenshots tho

I'm fairly sure I tried this, but I will give it another go. As I recall, the menu item was greyed out but I could be mistaken.

Gave this method a try with Zelda, but the menu item in disc utility is greyed out all the time. No luck here!

Has anyone tried ripping using Boot Camp running WinXP on a Mac with SuperDrive? If so was it successful and how is it doen?

I think if you already have Disk Utility open it will not spit the disc out.

I believe all Mac SuperDrives are Matshita which I thought was similar to the Wii's Drive.

You need to set you mac to ignore when you inster a dvd or cd. It's in the system settings.

I inserted RE4 into my internal drive and it didn't get tossed out.. But I don't get that option in the File menu...

I'm on an iMac 20" CD2 (not C2D.. 1st gen intel machine) running 10.5.4...

I've attached a pic....
