Today I recieved my d2sun/nero test kit. Offcourse I couldn't wait and started to play with it right away.
The Nero Programmer
Nice design, looks like an usb stick.
There is no need for an extra usb cable like needed for d2prog and injectus.
Because this programmer is in a shelf there are no issue's touching this device by hand like could be with d2prog/injectus. Small downside is that it is a bit hard to open the FPC lock on it.
Plugged it in my external usb hub, connected to my xp sp3 system and gets recognized as an usb device right away.
Downloaded the firmware "D2SUN-v3.05 - A3P125 ( 6 wires ALL-in-1 )".
Nice to see some kind of wingui in this all-in-one programming package.
For example, d2pro updater still needs to run in a command shell.
Flashing the firmware to the chip without any problems.
Took 2 minutes to flash the FPGA and an other minute to flash the SPI.
(d2sun was not in the wii during update)
Not bad, but could be a bit more faster.
I think d2prog is a little bit faster, but injectus on argon takes way much longer..
overall: truly plug-and-play, no extra drivers needed. does what is needs to do.

Would be a 'nice to have' feature if the programmer could read and display current firmware version on the connected chip.
The D2Sun V3
Already had a bunch if these before, but not with the 3.05 firmware
After flashing clip't on a D2E (pal) and tested it with SSB on a DL+ verbatim (pal).
Did a few runs of; start and play the game, stop it, eject it, reloaded and play again.
I've been playing for small hour on it and experienced no issues at all.
Have the feeling it is a bit faster reading the disc then former firmware.
Will test on the other drives later and update this post with the results:
Tested D2B, D2C, D2C-2 and D2E on a pal system with DVD- and DL+ (smg, kart, ssb). All works perfect!
Already liked this chip and I'm going to stay with it!
