Default D2Pro9 + Wii Clip V3C Question

Hi All

Hope someone can help out with a problem installing a D2Pro and Wii Clip to a D2C chip.
The serial is LEH190 so assume its a D2C2.
Now chip installed but when boot up red light only on chip and drive does not function, remove chip and all fine.
Had a look at the Wii Clip site and it says to solder all points but this chip has only the following points soldered.
C, D, E, F, G, H, J, GND, 3V3, CLK has solder blob on it
Have attached a pic but not very clear as this is not my chip and didnt take pic.
My friend called the shop that sent him the chip and they said they did this with 9 solder points for D2E board but would work with D2C2 chips. Is this right?
Had a read through here and know that Wii Clip is not popular but my friend cannot solder at all and getting someone else to do it is difficult as he lives half way up a mountain, his nearest neighbour 9km and nearest City that would do it is Madrid so was hoping someone on here may know whats wrong as personally I think the shop he got it from have cocked up somewhere (I maybe wrong).

Appreciate any help you may be able to give

For D2C / D2C2 / D2E, only C, D, E, F, G, H, J, GND, 3V3, and CLK need to be soldered.

Try removing the CLK jumper and soldering the J wire manually as shown here: WII-CLIP for WIIKEY,D2CKEY,D2CPRO,ARGON,D2PRO ......

Hi Thanks for your reply, when you say about the CLK do you mean totally remove the solder from it?

Sorry but how would you do that, just use solder iron on it and remove the solder? Need to pass this info on so trying to think of questions my friend might ask

Thanks

Guys

Appreciate your advice, tried removing solder from CLK and running the wire from J to F and works a treat.

Cheers
