D2Pro V3 and Firmware 2.3

Hi all, just wanted to confirm a few things.

1. What version of the firmware is on the V3?

2. Firmware2.3 is for D2C2 and earlier and 1.6 can be used on all revision of the DVD drives?

Coming from the factory, I believe the default firmware is 2.1. 2.3 just came out so it would have to be reprogrammed using the d2prog before installing. Seems to fix up the eject issue.
