Default D2Pro9 (D2C2 Compliant) firmware bugs

I had a problem tonight with a D2C2 board... The mod went fine, however I am getting a bunch of ejecting issues. Basically, it will take a disc in, and spit it out, but can't always get it to take a disc in after that... And sometimes if it does take it in, it will not spin up and ends up in an error.

This was tried with 2 backups and one brand spanking new original... So the discs are not to blame as I got the same results with all 3.

kanatamods.ca reports the exact same problem.

Anyone else having this problem?

Any other firmware bugs anyone is noticing that we can make the D2Pro guys aware of, and possible work-arounds for them??

I got the exact same problems with one of the 5 wiis I did today. And found another problem . The backup of SSMB does not work at all on the 5 d2c2 I did (the drive keeps making clicking noises) The original works fine but no backups. I tried with verbatim + R DL, FUJIFILM +R DL and RIDATA +R DL with no sucess. Tried with wiikey and Argon the disks are fine.

Just unloaded my last chip, but am getting 5 more in early afternoon. I'll test this out and report back.

I truly wonder if the D2Pro team will release firmware to fix these bugs this time or bring out yet another chip.

If they do the latter they might as well just leave out the JTAG connector/DVD update part since they obviously have no intention of using this anymore..

Problem still exists
I got it 3 times yesterday

D2pro keeps telling me that my clock wire was too long - so I made them all a direct straight line and it seems to not happen again.

3 d2c2 d2pros last night, all 3 wiis have the same issue.

Funny enough, i tried to prove my point by trying a wiiclip on a drive, and i sat there for 10 boring minutes inserting and ejecting the disc 100 times or so, and it didn't lock up once
i dont have any d2c2s around, but i was trying on a normal d2c board, and a new d2c2 d2pro.

I'm 100% sure is a bug though - we cant all be this shit at installations

So, the workaround seems to be a short clockwire ? What length are you using right now ? Just to be able to install something stable in the customer's wii's

Default SSBB wont boot up on D2C2 ~ D2pro9v2

About SSBB maybe a different layerbreak number?
That's the only issue im having, cant boot a back up of SSBB ..
I tried a copy with layerbreak & another without..
(wiikey compatible) ..But didnt work either..
Im going to have to research.. If I find out
anything i'll come back & report it ..Good night guys..!!..!!

Thats what they said it was, but my wires are a direct line, you cant get shorter - so its not a fix.

if there are bugs in the firmware ? they will have to release a firmware update for the new chips they have already sold , which are in the tens of thousands already and still selling fast. they will have to fix it by update this time.
