its a lot cheaper to reverse engineer than to develop the code from scratch....as a installer i dont care who copies anyones firmware....installers just need a stable chip and dont want to explain to customers the differences between all the chips out there! if only d2pro team could release the d2ckey with the d2c2 update......still the most stable chip to date but a bitch to install

Official Resller for D2Ckey/Wasabi/Argon/D2pro/Wiizard/D2Sun
wouldnt it be interesting to see one team release a firmware for the other chips?
and improoving the function?
that would be a real proove of knowledge if for example infectus team would release a dvd upgrade for the wasabi chip fixing the bugs before the wasabi team. or the other way around.
[anyways this was just sarcasm and a joke... so dont take it serious]
They want to make some money cause they just know the second they release the jtag fw that the other 2 'LITTLE' teams will reverse engineer the fw to their own chips.
Lame, Mada. They already make a tonne of money. This is just plain greed.
Yes, eventually their update will get hacked... that's inevitable, and part of being in the industry.
But using it as an excuse to squeeze an extra $5 per chip? Selfish, plain and simple. Don't think for a second that the D2Pro guys (are they all guys?) care one iota for us, despite their being in a service industry, and despite introducing us to a jtag prog.
Shoot... they worked a weekend to figure out the ns_reader issue. Throw us a friggin bone already.

for your information, d2pro 15 wire, and 9 wire are the same price. Just because a reseller jacks up the price, doesn't mean they are.
And fuck, they don't owe any of us shit. Its their job at the end of the day. You get it? As in they wake up everyday and work on Wii hacking. They don't do it for shits and giggles, they do it for cold hard cash. At the end of the day they will retire at 35, and you will be a 60 year old man complaining about how the world is always trying to fuck you.
They are helping all of us out, and even though they are charging us for their hardware and software dev, they are still doing us all a favour. No matter where you are, distributor, reseller, installer, end user.
Instead of trying to shoot them down, admire them.
Doing us a favour? Are you on weed? They don't do us any favours. A favour, by definition, doesn't come with a price tag.
And help us out? Again... what? They're helping themselves, nothing more. As you said, they're in business to make cash.
I admire them... for their tech-savvy. I'll despise them if they don't make the fw available.
Oh, and a question... since you seem to think you have the inside track on everything: is it your understanding that the new chip, the D2C2-compliant D2Pro, will be offered to resellers at the same price as the existing 9-wire D2pro?

Prostitutes give sexual favors, they get paid.
Find me a definition of favor having nothing to do with money
A favor as in, your customers will have a solution for their wii a month before they normally would. A favor as in, you will make close to $80CAD profit from every 15 minute install you do, directly resulting from the hard work they put in.
Am I taking crazy pills, or are you working for free?
How is knowing the official price having an inside track? I hope your supplier isn't charging you more!
