Hi folks,

thanks for the replies.

I've tried to remove 249 with the wad manager from the Dummies pack.. also made sure ISO16 and IOS249 are in the WAD folder as suggested to be in there.

i get this:

[+] Uninstalling Custom IOS, please wait...
>> Uninstalling tickets ... Error! (view=0, ret = -1017)
>> Uninstalling title contents... Error! (ret = -1017)

[+] [Error]: IOS could not be uninstalled! (ret = -1017)

I've read on some other board; error 1017 is due to that cISO249 is outdated if this error appears, and that it usually doesn't needs to be removed, just overwritten with a newer version..

Don,t know if any of this may help, but this is from a HB error code list.

1017 IOS Installation Error
Most likely using an old or incorrect IOS, missing an IOS, or the IOS you're trying to install cannot be installed ontop of another.
Q. How do I fix this error?
A. Fix it by installing a newer IOS 249 than the one you already have (if you don't have it, try installing it). If you still get this error, fix it the same way as Error 2011.

2011: Installation Error
Most likely installed incorrect or out of date IOS.
Q. I can't install any IOS, I keep getting an error. How do I fix this?
A. You can try cIOS fix. You can also try downgrading or upgrading your Wii. (e.g. 3.3 to 3.2, or 3.3 to 3.4/4.0) Referr to Your Questions Answered on how to up/downgrade.

So i want to try that and need some guidance what basic files to use to install HBC only.. from there i believe i can manage it further.

I've also notised that i cannot use the twilight hack to start up code (i.e. launching loadmii), after i used the Dummies pack.. i can only launch code with bannerbomb

Cheers, R
