I updated my D2B recently and I am happy to report that I have noticed no change at all in performance... I was supprised how quickly it did it, mine did not hang it just zoomed through quite happy and then asked for a reset upon completion... It's always good to have the latest firmware available though (Unless it's for your Wii) so I'm happy...
