I still wouldnt worry too much buddy you could always purchase a new drive from ebay or wherever and drop it in until (if) a solution becomes availble, unless older drives dont work in newer D2E machines which i think would be doubtfull. Lets not panic, just wait and see what happens. IF they are real, i can see people buying up there xmas Wii's early LOL

Panasonic will make the IC specially for Nintendo and they can have anything printed on it they want,I would agree to wait and test a new drive to see if its compatible with the current D2C2 mods available.
As you all know Nintendo will be on this forum all the time looking at what is going on and finding ways to stop and slow people down from modding.
