All things works fine right now. Homebrew, channels etc. It's just crazy to destroy something that is working right? Better do extreme thing when we have backups in our sleeves
My opinion is that after i read dudecherishurwii post, I thing that (if possible but it seems like) the best is to FIRST HAVE A BOOTABLE RECOVERY DVD!
That kind of disk will save the day from anything that will full-brick our consoles now and years later. Even a ninty's corrupt update. Just like a fresh OS setup on pc. Something that Nintendo had to gave us from the beginning.
