They are so cheap its unbelievable......just buy some
I bought a strip of 10 of them (red) for like 2 GBP
Not played with them yet though. I have an old 10mbit hub I practised my soldering on. It has loads of SMD LEDs on it as well, so I will use it to practise desoldering them
One tutorial I read just had you using desoldering braid to remove the excess solder from each end then destroying the LED basically by holding the iron it and sliding it off the pads! (twas on
